This session will provide clear and concise data on the increase in various addictive behaviors in the past four years. It will present a short review of addiction interaction disorder in a clear and accessible way for clinical professionals to more readily see issues and help identify them in order to better treat patients/ clients.
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVES
Participants will be instructed on how to:
- Provide up-to-date data on increases in alcohol use, drug use, gambling and other addictive behaviors
- List three to five types of addiction interaction disorders and how these is prevalent in the legal profession
- Identify treatment options for various addictions discussed

ABOUT THE PRESENTER
Eric J. Webber, MA, CADC, CCS, CSAT/CMAT, CCPG

Caron
Since 2007, Eric has been a clinician at Caron working specifically with adult men and relapse patients in both primary and extended care settings. He had served as clinical supervisor for the Men’s Primary Unit and the director of the Men’s Relapse and extended care. Prior to his time at Caron, Eric worked as a counselor in an outpatient setting treating those with mental health issues, as well as substance abuse issues. He also served as a program developer, clinician, and manager at a specialized office for sex offenders and victims of sexual abuse.
Eric is a certified alcohol and drug counselor and certified clinical supervisor and holds a certificate of competency in problem gambling, all through the Pennsylvania Certification Board. He is also a certified sex addiction therapist and a certified multiple addiction therapist through the International Institute for Trauma and Addiction Professionals. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Kutztown University and a master’s degree from Alvernia University, PA.
