About Us
35 Years in the Making
Dilworth Center was founded in 1990 as a grassroots effort to provide recovery to members of the community. A few years later, we became a nonprofit organization, allowing us to expand our reach, treatment options, and staff—while still holding to the belief that every individual that walks through our doors is a priority.
For 35 years, Dilworth Center has been the key to recovery for thousands in Charlotte and the surrounding region. When an individual or family in crisis needs our help, we are here to offer hope, support, and recovery. We’ve helped thousands of individuals find a new and fulfilling life in recovery.
Our Location
In the heart of Charlotte’s historic Dilworth neighborhood, Dilworth Center is in a large two-story home built in the early 1900’s. Just off Park Road, our welcoming space is tucked away behind a small business park to ensure anonymity. We are also easily accessible to the main thoroughfares and Interstates 85 and 77.
Our recently expanded and renovated facility allows us to provide critical services and help more people. It also provides a warm, family-like atmosphere and a comfortable and safe environment for patients and their families.

“Dilworth Center is in a hidden treasure spot which is really nice. When you are dealing with a substance abuse issue, you do want some privacy. You don’t want to feel like you are exposed. It’s a great location.”
