Dilworth Center is excited to share with you information about one of our newest signature community programs. Our Education Outreach on Addiction Program is designed to support locally and regionally-based businesses and faith organizations by providing brief educational workshops on topics surrounding addiction, at no cost. Nearly 11 million full-time workers in the United States struggle with addiction, costing companies approximately $81 billion each year due to absenteeism, healthcare costs, and lost productivity. According to Gallup, the effects of substance abuse are felt by around half of all American families, resulting in many turning to faith communities for answers. Our goals are to provide a variety of free workshops on addiction, tailored to your needs, in order to inform, increase awareness, and shed light on addiction’s harmful impact in the workplace, as well as to be a resource to those who might be struggling or know someone struggling with addiction.
