Our 16-week program delivers intensive substance use disorder treatment while allowing participants to maintain their work, school, and home routines. This flexibility ensures that young adults can integrate recovery into their daily lives, learning to manage real-world stressors as they progress. The program emphasizes relapse prevention, mental health support, and the development of sustainable sober living practices.

Young Adult IOP Treatment Schedule

Following a thorough assessment involving parents or guardians and the patient, a preliminary treatment plan is developed, and the patient is given an orientation to the treatment process. Once treatment begins, all involved parents or guardians attend a treatment orientation session followed by weekly attendance at family program sessions.

Young Adult IOP Core Program Components:

Disease Education

Below is the revised text:

The dynamics of addiction and the recovery process are described in detail through over 24 speakers and interactive presentations. Patients will learn about the disease of addiction, post-acute withdrawal, how to enjoy being in recovery, how addiction affects family systems, and other related recovery topics.

Family Program

Family participation in treatment is encouraged and, at times, required. On Tuesday and Thursday evenings and Saturday mornings, family members and significant others participate in education and group therapy. Additionally, involvement in Al-Anon or Nar-Anon is strongly encouraged.

Group Therapy

In group therapy sessions, individuals in recovery have the opportunity to bond with others while practicing new behaviors and sharing their emotions. This process helps patients and their family members to understand that they are not alone in their struggles.

One-On-One Counseling

Individual counseling sessions are included in the treatment process and the frequency depends on each patient’s needs. These sessions enable patients to set and achieve treatment goals, and concentrate on specific issues related to their progress in treatment.

Mental Health

We take mental health conditions very seriously. Our medical director is board-certified in addiction psychiatry and is recognized throughout the industry for his treatment of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. He is available to patients when needed.

12 Step Groups

We know that 12-step meeting participation, in addition to treatment attendance, dramatically improves outcomes. Twelve-step groups are a core part of recovery, and active participation in these programs is an essential and critical component of ongoing recovery. Each patient’s individualized treatment plan determines the frequency of meeting attendance.

12 Step Work

Patients are guided through the first three steps of the 12 Steps of AA and NA with the help of work booklets, group therapy, and AA or NA sponsors. This process teaches young people that they can only control or change themselves and their reactions to others and situations.

Attaining and Developing Non - Chemical Coping Skills

Addiction often interrupts the maturation process. We address this with education and support that results in the healthy development of effective, non-chemical coping skills. Our staff helps patients and family members explore methods and interventions that foster the discipline and responsibility necessary for successful treatment.

Peer Influence

Peers, including treatment alums and recovering community members, offer powerful and positive influences on patients. Recovering peer mentors lend support and encouragement and help facilitate various therapeutic activities, such as AA/NA book studies.
